Introduction

This is an introduction to the topic. Here, we will be discussing the key points and ideas about the subject.

Change Management in my Human Resources Management unit is considered a crucial part for my future HR practice. This unit has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the strategies for change management, which is important as future managers and HR professionals are required to be able adapt and endure in an ever-changing environment. The unit has taught me many things about organizational changes that will enhance my career. Changing markets and organizations are forcing companies to change rapidly. Managers use different styles of leadership to help implement change in an organization and reach goals. Change agents are individuals who enable and encourage change in organizations. A change agent is someone who supports and promotes a different way to do something in the business. This could be a process change, a management structure change, or a transformation from an old model into a modern one. To ensure the success of an organization, change agents must possess certain interpersonal skills. As a champion of change and a conduit between the leadership of an organization and the rest, a change agent has a specific role within a change project. A good change agent will help to smooth out resistance to change, address issues before they derail a project, and ensure its successful implementation. It is important to understand that every single element can influence change. Change agents focus on the environment, the atmosphere, the marketplace and the culture. It is important to be patient and flexible when evaluating both positives and negatives of a change. Change agents have the ability to implement changes in many different areas including the structure of the organization, physical setting of the business and technology as well as people. The transformation of the organization’s structure is a key component to organizational change. This includes changes in authority, hierarchy, and job design, among other variables. In order to change technology, you must also change the processes, systems, and best practices. The physical environment is affected by changes to the layout and spatial arrangements. Agents of change can also influence the attitude, ability, performance, and perceptions of people. Organizational changes can occur frequently and continuously. Since the needs and demands of customers are described in detail, organizations can better understand their changing needs. Communication, problem solving, negotiations, collaboration and alliances are some of the ways in which working as a group can encourage deeper learning. This unit taught me a lot about group work and the importance of working in teams. Groupwork taught me that I was responsible to my teammates, and that each team member had an important role in the project. My team and I were always willing to work together, despite our differences. As a result of working together, we looked out for one another. For example, if a colleague was having difficulty with the project and needed help, we would be there to offer assistance. As a member of a group, I shared my experience and ideas with other members in order to get them involved. I learned a great deal from this experience about the importance of teamwork. This opportunity helped me overcome many barriers. I learned that everyone is unique and has different personalities by working in a group with people of different backgrounds.

Because I supported and respected them throughout the entire journey, it helped me to show consideration for others. As a member of the team, I played a role in the successful completion of the project. For a job to be completed, it is crucial that you work in a team. It was fun and efficient to work in teams. I have learned that by working in a team, you can pool your ideas and view problems from many different perspectives. Working in groups allows you to accomplish tasks that are impossible for an individual. Group work allows for a greater variety of knowledge and skills to be applied in tackling more complicated and large-scale problems. We were able to do a much deeper and more thorough analysis of our report by working in groups. This was not possible if we had worked individually. In addition, I learned from my group members. It was beneficial to work with people. For example, I could get feedback and improve by analyzing, exploring and discussing with them my own questions and ideas. My team and I worked hard to achieve our goals. The organization’s success depends on the ability to adapt and change. The change process brings up a number of ethical concerns, which requires a thorough analysis. Many change models do not include the ethical aspect. Lewin’s Change Model, ADKAR Model or Kottler’s Eight Step Change Management model all focus on ethical concerns. These models must include factors affecting the change process and management. They should also be inclusive of organizational culture, structure and stakeholders. They are crucial in controlling resistance to changes at work when they affect both managers and staff. As it is the responsibility of an organisation to satisfy its CRS vis-à-vis employees, ethics has a positive influence on a variety of stakeholders. Also, it helps the change last longer. Morals has a positive or negative impact on an organization. Leaders who use their power to push through legislation and other issues can have a negative impact on the change management process. They are seen as narrow-minded. This is unethical. The impact of this on stakeholders both internally and externally cannot be overstated. Managers should also ensure that their partners and stakeholders will not be impacted. Leaders must use their positions to find individual profits and be upfront. A leader should instill right values and distinguish between good and bad ethics in their organization. When managers in an organization do not share the same values and ethics with their subordinates this has a significant moral impact for all of the partners and the association as a whole (Bashir, Afzal and 2008). Change processes can often lead to ethical dilemmas within an organization. The ethical issue can arise when an organization wants to switch from the current culture of stakeholders to a culture they consider more efficient. Shareholders may be forced to redefine their relationships and responsibilities when changes are implemented, which can cause resistance. Some stakeholders may try to keep the organizational culture that they have grown to love, while top leaders are looking for a new look (Hwang and Wang,2013). This can cause problems in the change process. Change management comes in many different forms. It can include simple policy changes, technical changes, personnel shifts, organizational or other types of change. To avoid resistance against change, it is important that all employees and managers who are directly affected by the new change participate equally in the implementation process. It is important to consider the approach taken in implementing the change as well as the actual change. I learned so much from people with different backgrounds. In my small group, I’m the only Nepali. I learned that people from different cultures are both similar and different. I learned respect for another culture. The diversity of the group I work in will help me improve my communication in the future. Being a naturally shy person, I had to overcome this shyness to interact with others and prove my point. This helped me finish the task successfully. I think I am more patient than before. My team members used to speak in their native tongue when we first started the semester, but I was uncomfortable. They listened to my concerns and started speaking in English. This experience made me realize the importance of being upfront and honest with others when you work with them from another culture. My group members are very open-minded, and I appreciate that. Even though we share many things with others, each person is unique and brings something different to the team. My group taught me a lot. I learned how creative ideas can be created by working with people of different backgrounds and styles. One person may be good at creating innovative and exciting ideas but another may have experience in implementing them. By generating more diverse solutions, it is easier to find a viable solution. Many more solutions can be created when so many minds are brought together. Each person brings his or her own unique way of solving problems, thinking and making decisions. For me, personal development is the planning process for creating a self-improvement plan. Personal development is very important to me because it allows me to learn about myself, identify my strengths and weaknesses, and improve them. It will also help me set my future objectives. In order to achieve my goals, I will set short-term and long-term ones based on my knowledge, skills, and accomplishments. It is important to have a time limit to reach my goals. When I need assistance, I’ll ask other people to help me. I’m looking to improve communication and time management. I gained a new perspective on my professional career after completing this Managing Change Unit. In my work on our projects and in our group, it was clear that changes could affect individuals both positively and negatively. The reasons for change can vary depending on the organization, the people within it and the agents of change. The ADKAR can be a valuable tool to help me reach my goals. This model focuses on the five elements of awareness, motivation, knowledge, capability and reinforcement. It may be a great tool to help me succeed. This model will help me to succeed by focusing on my goals, my desires, my knowledge, and my ability to reinforce my plan. What are my abilities to achieve my goals? And what can I do to strengthen that plan or to be able to resist it? For me to be successful, my goals must match up with what I am trying to accomplish. Conclusion:In closing this journal of reflection, it is important to note that change can be a human trait. The evolution of a person and an organization is a natural process. Each employee and stakeholder should take it seriously to ensure that they can compete on the global market. Change agents play an important role in keeping the process of change smooth. Ethics and morals can be vital to managing change. Changes in management can sometimes have positive or negative effects on stakeholders and shareholders. In today’s world, teamwork and diversity are also important in managing change. To achieve your goal, it is important to have a strategy and a development plan that will guide you and help you to accomplish them. References:
